Back on the Bike! Catching Up With a Good Friend
Today (well yesterday now) I dusted off my good ole Ninja 250 and rode my motorcycle over to Logan High School to catch up with my martial arts/ piano teacher. He's been busy with life so I haven't had a chance to talk to him a quite a while. It was nice to have some pretty deep conversations and see him open up to me. Although I can't put it into words, I feel like I learned so much more about him just by having these talks with him. It was interesting. I initially planned to meet up and kick it with him for like an hour or two, but the reason why he was at Logan was to do volunteer work for the Band/Color Guard Competition. He wanted me to keep him company. Even though I had planned on doing homework today, I decided it would be nice to spend a day with him for once. I figured I could just do my homework tomorrow, and I feel like I made a good choice because I had a really good time tonight despite having to ride my motorcycle back home in the freezing cold with just a sweatshirt. Except, I admit that standing still, manning the rear gate, looking at peoples' wristbands was pretty boring. The upside was supposed to be that I get the chance to watch all of the performances, but for some reason I just don't find any interest in band/colorguard. It's just not my cup of tea and I don't find it very entertaining. Just my opinion.. But then again, Logan's performance was pretty damn good compared to everyone else.
